The Kettle Is Always On.
I started this blog thinking I'd post a shot of whatever I was drinking wherever I was. This isn't a "pretentious" tea blog. Everyone and all kinds and styles of tea drinking welcome. I enjoy inexpensive teas and more expensive ones when I can afford them. I'm not into bashing how you take your tea. It's srsly dead leaves in water. Let's make this blog a fucking sanctuary for all tea drinkers.
And don't forget: I love submissions of ANYTHING related to tea. don't be shy. ❤ NOTE: I keep the queue set up and running a month ahead and how many pictures I currently have dictates how many pics a day you get on the feed. Keep this in mind when you submit because each submission takes roughly a month to appear give or take. I love seeing your tea so please keep sending! Queue is currently at: 10

They look really cool before you use them. Tea Drops flavors are each pressed into their own shape so you can easily tell them apart. The one pictured above is the mint. It’s a non caffeinated blend. I also tried the green tea. I have two more flavors to try but I’m not in a huge hurry. I’ll get to them.
The directions state to boil water, add water to the cup, and then add the Tea Drop. I did this and found the Tea Drop had a hard time dissolving. I had to add a little extra hot water and then keep stirring another two minutes to dissolve for both tea balls. I started both with 8 ounces of water.
The Tea Drop states that it dissolves, but it really doesn’t. It’s made of tea leaves. While they are very finely ground, you can taste them in your tea for sure. I recommend stirring between mouthfulls, and even then, prepare to chew your last sip.
They are all slightly sweetened. I was aware of this prior to purchasing but I was intrigued by the gimmick really and just was curious about trying something new. I read other’s reviews and most said they couldn’t notice the sweetness because there was so little. I read the nutrition facts, and there are only 5-6 grams of sugar per ball so I thought “You know what? Maybe it’s like everyone says. Maybe it’s not noticeable.” I normally don’t add ANY sugar to my tea, so to ME this was sweet, and I didn’t enjoy the sweetness, but that’s not entirely their fault. I was warned it contained sugar but I tried it anyway.
To be honest I’m going to use these up but I won’t get them again. They’re not easier than tea bags OR tea steepers, I don’t like that there’s no unsweetened version, and it’s too “chewy” for me. 🤷♀️
